The east cliffs (south of Ham Little) like the north east cliffs, often have small migrant birds flitting at their base which are relatively easy to spot. However, check the cliff itself (with great care) as there will almost certainly be birds feeding on vegetation and insects amongst their niches and crevices.

The pools are shallow and rather peaty, but they occasionally host ducks and waders. The pools are best scoped from the road above, as birds are easily spooked from the nearby cliffs

Text Box: What has been seen here?

Many small migrants, usually commoner warblers - sometimes yellow-browed warbler, goldcrest, chats, thrushes and finches, but it is always worth checking for the biggy.
Nothing of note has been seen on the pools, but it may be worth checking amongst the occasional group of ducks or waders – birds turn up anywhere on Foula.
