Fairly common passage migrant

A few birds are seen between April and June, although the majority of birds pass through from the end of August to the beginning of October. Most records refer to singles but occasionally numbers reach double figures.

The maximum count between 27^th August and 2^nd September, 1997, was 27 birds, while on the 26^th September, 2000, 25 birds were recorded.

The earliest arrival of the spring on record is on the 29^th April, 1997. The latest bird of any autumn was recorded on the 13^th October, 2002.
