Tree Pipit Anthus trivialis

Fairly common passage migrant

Has been recorded April to November, but most occur May and September.

The earliest spring arrivals were two birds recorded on 26^th April, 1996. The latest observation of autumn passage was on the 5^th October, 2000.

Daily counts are usually in single figures, however, in some years numbers occasionally peak around 10. On the 23^rd September, 2000, there was an exceptional 20 individuals logged.
