Raven Corvus corax

Poorly documented. Common and widespread breeding resident on Shetland

Between 1 and 4 pairs breed annually.

Gathering numbers peak early to mid April, and have reached as high as 70 (on the 8^th April 1996) although counts of 20 – 50 is the norm.
