Vagrant with at least 70 records for Shetland

· 1961 Two on 31^st August – 7^th September, represents the first acceptable records of this species for Shetland (JB and PM).

· 1965 One on 18^th September.

· 1988 Two on 16^th September (PVH)

· 2002 Two on 24^th – 27^th September.

· 2003 Singles on 11^th May (SCV et al.) and 3^rd – 4^th September (DA, Ga et al.).

· 2006 One on 8^th September (MAM, BHT) and one on 21^st – 23^rd September (KBS, NJW, PJW, RBW).

· 2007 At least two birds were present. Two were seen together at Ristie and 2 singles were seen just after each other at Hametoun (BHT et al.)
