Formerly a scarce passage migrant; now a rare vagrant

·         1917   Singles on the 29th May and 10th June.

·         1924   A single bird on the 5th and 6th of July was heard churring. ·         1955   Singles on the 10th June and 7th – 8th July (Jackson, 1966).

·         1977   Unconfirmed report of a calling bird in early May.
