Scarce but annual passage migrant. Very rare breeding bird on Shetland.

· 1955 Two, on the 19^th – 20^th February (Jackson, 1966).

· 1996 Singles on the 22^nd May and 12^th October.

· 2003 One, 29^th September, and One, 18^th – 22^nd October.

· 2004 One, 1^st October.

· 2008 One, 22^nd September.

· 2010 One, on the 9^th October.
