Goldeneye Bucephala clangula

Annual from the autumn through to early spring. No records obtainable!

· 2003 A couple of birds were present from the 28^th March – 9^th April. These were joined by one or two on dates throughout this period. In October a single bird was seen on Mill loch on the 11^th, with three there on 22^nd. A couple of birds remained until at least the 3^rd of November.

· 2004 Three on the 2^nd March and a single on the 7^th. Presumably the same three again on the 10^th, then 4 on the 15^th with one remaining until the 18^th. In the autumn there was one on the 20^th – 26^th October, and two on the 27^th. This increased to 6 on the 29^th. Numbers did not rise above 7 until the end of the recording period on the 9^th November.

Other records for this species must exist, for which I would be very grateful.
