Small numbers of birds are usually seen on passage from late April to
the end of May.
Returning birds have occasionally been seen in August, but they are mainly
recorded from early – mid September through to late October.
An exceptional 1000 birds were recorded in the autumn of 1966 (ARM), but
peak numbers are usually much less – anywhere between 30 and 50 is the norm. mainly in early – mid October.
