This large stretch of short turf forms the most southerly tip of Foula. There are a few small shallow pools scattered here and there which are good for waders, and the cliffs and geos are also definitely worth checking for smaller migrants.

Text Box: What has been seen here? It can be hit or miss here. The flat nature of the ground, means it can either appear very empty, or very full of birds – especially following a fall. Long-billed Dowitcher, Pectoral Sandpiper, Baird’s Sandpiper, Short-toed Lark, Shore Lark and Siberian Thrush are amongst the goodies that have been found.
