This crumbling wall and its adjoining ruined homesteads, run from west to east, from the cliff edge at Da Logat to Mucklegrind. The theory is that it acts as a shelter corridor for migrants. It is also at the foot of the north facing slopes of Soberlie hill, and is therefore sheltered from a southerly and south-westerly wind.
