The system of ditches, iris and grassland south of Bloburn and west of the road is referred to as Harrier. Above it on its western flank are two homesteads.

The ditches and vegetation can be excellent for skulking migrants, and although it takes a lot of work and a systematic approach, it can be well worth the effort.

This is one of the best areas for falls of thrushes.
